About the event
An evening tribute to Francis Hallé (1938–2025), a French botanist, ecologist, and dendrologist who passed away on December 31, 2025. With Gilles Clément, Georges Feterman, Vincent Lajarige, and Stephen Rostain in attendance. Committed until the end of his life, he championed the bold project of creating a primary forest in Western Europe, conceived on a timescale of several centuries, as a legacy for future generations. His deeply humanistic work continues to inspire scientists, artists, and citizens.
