The permanent exhibition
Frans Krajcberg's works are a cry of alarm and hope. He has never ceased to denounce the plundering of natural resources by man, while illustrating nature's astonishing capacity for resilience.
A tour amidst the Artworks
For the first time since November 2018, we are presenting the complete donation of works that Frans Krajcberg entrusted to the City of Paris; a collection of sculptures and paintings emblematic of his work:
- rock PRINTS , and in particular the painting that won Frans Krajcberg the Venice Biennale in 1964!
- REVOLTS , famous sculptures made from wood “rescued” from the fires in the Amazon rainforest, enhanced with natural pigments
- TABLEAU-ASSEMBLAGES of stones, soil and other natural elements: vines, bark leaves, Amazonian corals, quartz from Minas Gerais...
- SHADOWS : reliefs and sculptures in which Frans Krajcberg plays with the shadows cast on his sculptures, which he liked to rework with the rhythm of the seasons. His work seems to pursue an endless quest: to revive what is dead.

Ecological commitment and films
The presentation of Frans Krajcberg's works is accompanied and complemented by films, founding texts and photographs showing Frans Krajcerg's ecological commitment.
- videos by Frans Krajcberg: he worked exclusively with natural elements, which he enhanced with pigments taken directly from the mines of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Several of the artist's videos show his fascination with these open-air palettes. It was there that he took his first macrophotographs, highlighting the details of nature that captivated him.
- documentary films: our screening room permanently hosts the documentary on Frans Krajcberg,
"Portrait of a Revolt" by Maurice Dubroca, produced by Éric Darmon (Mémoire Magnétique production, 2004, 52 min) and awarded the UNESCO Documentary Prize in 2004, is an introduction to his life and work. "The camera follows him everywhere: at home, in his studio, on his installations, in search of materials, locations... It delves into archives and photos, to paint the portrait of an original artist through his way of life today."

The Manifestos of Integral Naturalism:
The first text written in 1978 by Pierre Restany based on the work of Frans Krajcberg, where he already invited artists to fight against the pollution of our century and the New Manifesto of Integral Naturalism of 2013, written by Frans Krajcerg and Claude Mollard, which radicalizes its terms.
But Frans Krajcberg's work was also a bearer of hope: inviting us to draw inspiration from nature's resilience and to awaken our eyes to the wonders of the world, he tirelessly photographed the thousands of details that amazed him in his daily life, and of which we also present some samples.
Photographs by Frans Krajcberg
For over fifty years, Frans Krajcberg has been campaigning against deforestation, particularly in the Amazon, devoting all his work and fame to his fight. At the Frans Krajcberg Space, we are presenting a selection of photographs he took on site, amidst the flames.
